The Sierra Leone Central Union based in the Netherlands in collaboration with CLOZET at Wasaya village has formally opened the SLCU-CLOZET Agriculture Institute at Wasaya Village in the Kafu Bullom Chiefdom, Port Loko District. The institute was built to offer courses to citizens of Port Loko district and the nation at large on Agricultural Studies.
Chairman, Sierra Leone Central Union in the Netherlands, Abu Bakarr Bangura said, the desire of the union has been to build the capacities of people of the district in the area of agricultural production. He called on the people to make good use of the facility reaffirming the Union’s commitment in working with the institution to provide quality Agricultural Education to all students that will enrol.
Director, Office of the Diaspora kalley Musa Conteh praised SLCU for the initiative. He pointed out that, the development is in line with what the office of the diaspora is expecting from Sierra Leoneans that are living in other countries. He described the college as an institution that can contribute to the achievement of President Koroma’s vision for the Nation.
Board Member of the institute, Hassan Jalloh said, the development is in fulfilment of their vision in the District. He assured SLCU that, the college will be one of the best in Sierra Leone and they will work to maintain standards.
