Members of Motor Drivers and General Transport Union have raised serious Concerns over the issuance of flying tickets by Traffic Wardens.
This concern was registered at a meeting with the Legal Aid Board at Texaco Lorry Park Kissy.
The President of Motor Drivers Union, Alpha Bah informed the Executive of the Legal Aid Board that the issuance of flying tickets by Traffic Wardens carry an on the spot fine of eight hundred thousand Leones for which he said fake receipts are normally provided.
Other concerns include delay of trial for traffic offences in areas where courts do not regularly sit
They also claimed unwarranted charges of fifty thousand Leones by police at five different checkpoints from the regions to Freetown.
