Samir Hassanyeh comments on America’s release of Hezbollah financiers

The United States Treasury Department has issued sanctions against “Hezbollah’s financial networks in The Gambia, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, and the British Virgin Islands.

The U.S. Department of Treasury targeted Hezbollah’s financial network by designating Hezbollah fundraisers Ali Tajideen and Husayn Tajideen for providing support to Hezbollah.

If it is confirmed that these people named are linked to welcoming investors affiliated with groups such as Hezbollah, this will no doubt taint Sierra Leone’s image as a nation
