The Legal Aid Board is to establish citizens Advisory Bureau within wards in the Freetown Municipality.
The structure would address minor offences that stems from public order offences and make referrals when necessary.
The Mayor of Freetown Franklyn Bode Gibson says the initiative is a laudable one that would be embrace by the council.
He said there is no need for new laws as implementation is the most important requirement.
The Citizens Advisory Bureau would constitute ordinary citizens of moral standards that would serve as volunteers to influence behaviour and ensure peace in communities.
