OVER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY PUPILS HAVE BENEFITTED FROM SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME PROVIDED BY A GROUP NAMED’ BEAUTIFUL WORLD’ BASED IN CANADA

Over one hundred and twenty pupils have benefitted from scholarship scheme provided by a group named’ Beautiful World’ based in Canada and FAWE International. The scholarship scheme covers from primary to tertiary level for Ebola orphans and less privileged girls in the country.
The Scholarship items include learning materials, uniform sets, shoes, bags and bed nets. The girls benefitted from the scholarship scheme because they performed well in their school work.
According to the Acting National Coordinator Mohamed Sesay Beautiful World’ based in Canada has the same vision with FAWE in empowering young girls in acquiring education. He adds FAWE started operations with Beautiful World in 2012 and has provided school fees and remedial classes for pupils.
One hundred and twenty nine girls are benefitting from the Scheme among were twenty one Ebola Orphans. He adds that FAWE and Beautiful World aim at girls been enrolled in schools, stay at school and complete tertiary education.
The National Chair FAWE Salimatu Koroma says FAWE has been promoting girl child education and empowering young girls for over twenty years.
Mrs. Koroma urges the girls to take their academic work serious and not allow extra curricula activities hinder their academic pursuit and parents to monitor their children so that they study hard and also reduce their work in domestic chores.
