The Minister of Internal Affairs Joseph Bandabla Dauda has ended the first phase of a nationwide familiarization tour to internal security agencies like the police, prisons fire force and the immigration department.
During the visit, Joseph Bandabla Dauda had a uniformed message for the security agencies, which started with him commending them for their national service. He informed them that President Koroma is appreciative of their contribution to the national fight against Ebola and the general maintenance of internal security, despite prevailing challenges.
He informed them of the Internal Affairs policy, and the draft document on the conditions of service.
The delegation comprised Permanent Secretary Ministry of Internal Affairs, Augustine Sheku , AIG Kallia Sesay, the Director General of the Sierra Leone Correctional Service Sanpha Bilo Kamara and the Director of Operations, Immigration Department, Abdulai Timbo.
The team also visited the Sierra Leone International Law Enforcement Academy on the Makeni Magbouraka Highway where AIG Philip Wellington took the Minister and his entourage on a conducted tour of the facility.
