JUDICIAL CONFERENCE 12th-13th April
The Sierra Leone Judiciary will hold a two day Judicial Conference on the 12th-13th April, 2016 at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown.
The conference will be held under the theme “Instituting Reform-Improving Services to the Public.
The conference will start on the 12th of April , 2016. His Excellency the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone – Ernest Bai Koroma, will be the key note speaker.
The Conference will bring together Judges, Judicial Officers, key staff from the Ministry of Justice, Private Legal Practitoners and Civil Society Partners. The
conference objectives are to:
o Reflect on current issues and reform initiatives
o Contribute to a vision of the future of judicial services in Sierra Leone
The Conference will provide an opportunity to share updates on the initiatives undertaken by the Judiciary to date, and to shape and determine the reform road map and the next steps.
Input generated from the Conference will feed into the judicial reform plans and strategies. Approximately, one hundred and fifty (150) delegates are expected to attend the conference.
