Ivory Coast’s President Alassane Ouattara has won a second five-year term with nearly 84% of the votes. His campaign centered on building a strong economy.

His previous victory was rejected by incumbent, Laurent Gbagbo, sparking a civil war which killed up to three thousand people.

The Mano River Union Secretariat was among International observers. The MRU team has presented its preliminary report.
