The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Public Administration And Management IPAM has pledged his unwavering commitment to improving quality education at IPAM .
Professor Allyson Sesay was speaking at the foundation day ceremony of the institution held at its Tower Hill Campus.
The Institute Of Public Administration and Management was established in 1980.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Institute Of Public Administration And Management IPAM Professor Allyson Sesay said he is committed to improving the quality of education of the institution.
He said IPAM continues to perform its community service role, anintegral component of its tripartite mandate through its short course and consultancy and extra –mural andoutreach studies units.
Professor Sesay expressed satisfaction over the improvement of faculty profile as seven of its full time lecturers have been admitted to doctoral studies and more are seeking admission.
On infrastructural development, he said the 7 storey building construction initiated by his predecessor Professor EkundayoThompson is nearing completion.
The Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor also maintained that IPAM is faced with the challenge of acute shortage of full time academic staff, inadequate classrooms, and late publication of examination results and exams malpractice.
The Vice Chancellor and Principal of the university of Sierra Leone Professor Ekundayo Thompson spoke tough on examination malpractices which have posed serious challenge to the college’s administration.
